Beautiful weather in Broward County

As most of you have probably noticed, the weather has finally changed in South Florida!

We have been having some beautiful weather in Broward County lately. It is a nice change walking out the door and feeling that nice cool breeze instead of a blast of hot air! With the weekend coming up and schools/work closing for Winter break you may be looking to get out and enjoy this beautiful weather. There are always so many things to do in Broward County, FL. Here are a few places/things you may want to check out.

If you are looking to get out and enjoy this beautiful weather in Broward County than you may want to check out some of the parks in the area. Whether you are going by yourself, with the kids or even your dog(s) there’s something for everyone to do.

One park that is a must see is Vista View Park in Davie. There are plenty of fun things to do there as well as things for fitness enthusiasts to do while enjoying the beautiful weather in Broward County. You can bring your dog(s) as long as you have them on a leash less than 6 feet long.

Tree Tops Park is another nice park located in Davie. They are having a Winter Solstice Family Night on December 20, 2014 the longest night of the year from 6-8 p.m. Relax around a campfire, make a craft and listen to winter tales. There is a fee of $5/person plus $1.50 park admission for this event.

T.Y (Topeekeegee Yugnee) Park located in Hollywood is having a family hayride and campfire on December 19, 2014, January 16, 2015 and February 13, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. This event is for all ages and tickets are $3.50/person for ages 3 and up. The ticket price includes one hayride and one bag of fixings to make s’mores by the campfire.

Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek is having their annual Holiday Fantasy of Lights drive-thru nightly from 6-10 p.m. until January 3, 2015 and is open on the holidays. There are 3 miles of holiday displays and illuminated trees. Admission is $14/car.

Markham Park in Weston is a great park for everyone…even dogs. There is a park for your furry family members to enjoy. Barkham Park has 3 acres of grass, paths, playthings, shelters and water. For the rest of the family there are plenty of things to do. They have playgrounds, biking and jogging trails, a shooting range, fishing and boating piers, campgrounds and so much more.
